Kull is a collection of short stories by howard. The stories tell of kull as king and all the hardships he goes through. This groundbreaking collection gathers together all howard's stories featuring kull.
Great foray into howard's pre-conan work. Conan's * prowess is almost as legendary as his prowess with a broadsword.
The artwork is spectacular. It is a fantastically illustrated work. Like the other collections which i have bought as well, this one looks very good, both on the bookshelf and in my hands.

Kull is worth a read but don't expect to much and don't pay alot of this book. The characters' faux-arcane manner of speaking to the lazy jobs of description.

Like the other collections which i have bought as well, this one looks very good, both on the bookshelf and in my hands.
Competitiveness
I expected it to be similar to the conan stories i had read but slightly worse since this was one of howard's earlier endeavors.
There is one cat character that talks and mclaren did a good job making it sound like a snobby cat.

In my opinion the earlier solomon kane stories could also be classified as belonging in this genre the only real difference being a historical background rather than a fictional one

As fans of howard already know king kull is sort of a prototype of conan and to be honest by and large the stories are not as good as the conan ones
