Pros

The metal finish and the spiral design makes really dynamic and compliments the organic shapes of any place. Genius protective packing and a stellar design.

The gauge itself is glass so you have to be careful while mowing lawn etc.

Easy to install anywhere in ground. Was able to mount to my deck rail so all is not lost. It's a simple design and we easily mounted it to our deck railing.

Cons

Construction of the gauge holder and stake is disappointing. Only way to attach stake to base is to screw a 1 thread into a 1/8 inch nut.

Not as pictured. Look elsewhere for inground rain gage. This product is misrepresented.

I worry it will break off one day soon.
