Note unlike the higher end units switching from the default charge mode with the single button will switch all the batteries to that mode so you cannot charge one battery and charge another at the same time

I just noticed a few months ago but please note i bought this thing back in 2011 that one of the slots the second from the right now reads every battery as defective

Even if the battery works and charges just fine in any other slot the charger thinks it is defective in that one position

Attempting to wipe the chargers contacts clean seemed to work as the battery showed it was charging for a short time only for it to read defective again a few hours later

I like that you can have it drain the battery to zero before charging so as to avoid creating a memory in the battery though i thought only nicad batteries had memory and the newer ones did not
