Pros
The display has several brightness settings from off to high and clarity/readability are good. Wifi setup was simple, however, i have verizon dsl which is strictly 2. The connection to my router is very stable with no drop in connection.
Only pet peeve is that the anemometer cannot incorporate wind direction sensing. It's fun watching the wind sensor wheel spin around outdoors.
The accuracy of temp and humidity appears to be consistent. The indoor temperature in blue is easy to read. Keeps on spinning and temps are accurate.
Only thing he doesn't like is that it is corded, so the black cord hangs down the wall when mounted. See the attached photo.
Cons
It is difficult, even for a knowledgeable buyer, to select a home weather station because of a glut of different brands. The app is very basic with few configurable options. The manufacturer insists that it does work, but it doesn't.
Wind meter offline again. The outdoor sensor is literally located 3 ft. Away. You have to open up the outdoor sensor and move the batteries around and it may read the outdoor temp for about 5 minutes before it drops out.

Frustration is that since i've owned the unit mid-november 2023, i've lost the feed more times than i can count. I still have 1 month before the warranty is over. Seems that was too much for the unit when first got it.

It really came in handy monitoring the wind speed of helene, showing the current speed, last hour top speed and 24 hour top speed.
Competitiveness
Otherwise the temperature, humidity and other features were very similar to what i had before.
If this one lasts as long as our prior model by lacrosse, i'll be happy.

I realized why when i went to set up the station and couldn’t focus my phone’s camera on the tiny bar code so that it could be transmitted by the app to the manufacturer for registration and configuration

The bar code can only be imaged in an inapp live window but because of the bar code’s tiny size the thinner lines weren’t being detected

I discovered that the remote temperaturehumidity sensor thermometerhygrometer and wind sensor anemometer each had their own tiny bar codes that in the case of the wind sensor had to also be imaged and submitted to the manufacturer in order for the wind sensor to connect to the station
