Pros

The 9v in the transmitter lasts as usual. Battery life is respectable and changing them is easy.

Cons

The wireless sensor's battery was always dead after a few days. Replaced batteries and reset the thing multiple times with no luck. La crosse needs to do a better job at their qc department!

Secondary temperature gauge would not register outside temp. Tons of restrictions about the placement which make the secondary temperature gauge virtually useless. Even mounting the sensor on the north side of the house in the shade.

Now it could be a result of poor quality batteries,(aaa) i bought as a big pack on amazon.

I had one for many years then the led display finally faded.

I will try another brand of battery to see if it is the battery quality or if my unit is a power hog
