Pros
Makes small labels quickly and easily. Now each drawer has a label. My next project with 3 pantries and a sewing room. It has an app with cute borders, fonts, pics, etc.
Pretty handy. The only downside is that there isn't a cutter to remove the label.
The paper is glossy and the ink is solid and would not ever be scratched off at all. No ink cartridges to replace so that's amazing right there.
Cons
My problem with this labelmaker (phomemo d30) is that the app that is necessary in order to use this printer, keeps crashing. All attempts to align is futile. Spits out blank paper but doesn't print anything or connect to the app.
After 2 months of light use, it is now broken. Also beware the app developer is a foreign app company so if thats something that you try to stay away from when downloading this may not be for you.

This is not a pricy item, and if you get it, you won't run out of uses for it.

Unfortunately, the issues couldn’t be fixed, but my refund came through very quickly and have already bought a replacement d30.
Competitiveness
Overall, i'm pleased with my purchase - solid buy at a great price point compared to other brands and features.
This is somuch better than the old p-touch i had.
The fonts are easily customizable and the labels are fairly cheap compared to the p-touch.

An example is creating simple text and completing such leaves me with no obvious way to print it
