The gen 3 is more on a competition or professional grade i would say whereas the gen 2 is a phenomenal starter gun at a great price.

If you are looking to get more consistent fps with it i would recommend putting a piston head nozzle that has a oring in it to minimize the amount of air loss coming out of your piston

Both guns seem to be extremely accurate and the gen 2 holds up to the gen 3 very well except for the electronic trigger of the gen 3
