Pros & Cons
Pros
Sennheiser's first large-diaphragm studio condenser mic. The mic sounds on a par with mics that cost 4 times the price. This mic is amazing. I run a asmr reiki youtube channel and these mics are unbelievable!
This microphone is wonderful for nearly all applications but is absolutely amazing for vocals. Vocals feel warm and realistic. Most convenient microphone i've used so far within my budget.
Highlights
Quality
Excellent quality sound, recommended for dubbing, singing, acoustic instruments, professional voice over jobs.
I was very impressed with the sound quality this mic captured.
It is a highly sensitive mic and picks up every mouth click and other noises, and ambient noise like you will not believe which... Read More
The mic requires 48v phantom power which should be easily available on any audio interface.
Price
For the price, this is an incredible value.
This is a terrific mic for the price.
This is a $299 microphone that sounds like a $1,000+ microphone in my opinion.
It is something that is worth checking out if you have a little extra cash.
Packaging/appearance
Unfortunately the box was pretty banged up, but the microphone itself seems to be in perfect condition.
Competitiveness
Microphone sounds really clear in comparison to my audio technica.
In fact, i think that this mic is virtually indistinguishable from a neumann tlm 103 or other higher end mics.
I had an mxl 770 & it was a pos compared to this mic.
A bit bigger than other brand microphones, and of course heavier.
