Pros

The handle has a light finish of lacquer that can be easily sanded off if you prefer bare wood. Very ergonomic. After some sanding and polishing the handle is great.

For the beginner or intermediate carver this is a great knife. That's a pretty resilient tool, if you ask me.

The closest competitor is occ, but good luck getting your hands on one. It is ready to use out of the package. Shipped and received in timely fashion.

This knife is really awesome. Bought this as a gift for my son. This knife has a good feel and a nice sturdiness to it.

Cons

Stropping is useless, it doesn’t help at all. But this one is worthless.

This is a very sharp knife out of the box and only gets sharper after stropping.

Price

They're an excellent tool for an extremely fair price!

Regardless, this is a great carving knife for the price and is great for removing lots of material.

I tried several vendors and they gouged you on prices when they had them in stock.

It dulls pretty fast but that’s to be expected.

Packaging/appearance

Useful product, very sharp straight out of packaging.

Competitiveness

Just as good as my more expensive knives.

I've used several different knives, stanley, veritas, exacto etc.

The closest competitor is occ, but good luck getting your hands on one.

Overall, this is my go-to brand and i'm glad i chose it, but someday if i get better, i may splurge for a helvie.
