Pros

These are in plastic casings rather than aluminum. Came well packaged with a fair ship time. I get them quicker by ordering from amazon too.

Flavor is solid, not watered down or stale tasting. Not burnt and edgy but rich and deep. Expire in 12+ months so no storage or issues.

This is a lungo pod which i wanted. I usually try to purchase nespresso pods from amazon warehouse, although they tend to go quickly!

Cons

The capsule fits a little too well and falls right down to the built in trash receptacle. I drop in a pod and it falls straight through. Disappointed at the flavor and robustness of these lavazza pods.

The coffee stream turns to almost pure water very quickly when dispensing from the nespresso head. If the water does flow through, it takes a loooong time to make a lungo cup of coffee. And i wonder if it’s damaging the pump in my n espresso machine.

Very good value for my originaline machine.

I was running low and with the supply chain issues in the states i decided to buy all four boxes on sale.

Then i found them on amazon at a price less than nespresso capsules.

They respond immediately if there is a shipping problem.

I get them quicker by ordering from amazon too.

Packaging/appearance

The espresso itself is as described on the package and is a perfect replacement for the medium roast nespresso pods i used to use.

Out of 10 boxes i have found one capsule that failed the press on the top foil/pop out the bottom foil seal test.

They now are packaged in recyclable pods.

Competitiveness

This is one of my favorite brands outside of nespresso and my favorite in the lineup they have.

An excellent, slightly lower cost, alternative to nespresso.

Gave the nespresso capsules another try and switched back to lavazza as soon as the nespresso capsules were used up.

While i liked this brand, amazon has a house brand of pods that were even more budget friendly that i tried and liked.
