If you wash it with cold water and mild detergent and then let it air dry it holds up really well to numerous washings and so far after 3 months of continuous washings it still comes out of the washer looking as good as it did when it was new

This is a very nice rug the fabric was a little unexpected but once i placed it on the floor it looked more like like the shag rug in the picture
