Ma ny thousands of years ago humans and ais were somehow transferred through a series rings that moved them so far from earth that nobody really remembered how they had arrived on all these different systems or where earth actually was or had been if it didnt exist anymore

But our tale starts with a robotics professor casmir dabrowski a smallish geeky and rather weak robotics professor who enjoys trying to make his classes fun for his students as well as beneficial and has great fun as he strategizes ways to bring sworn enemies together on whatever small shared ideas they might have and watching his fellow professors join forces afterover they were sworn enemies overcoming the silly faculty grievances that often tear apart faculties
