Pros
Excellent brightness (not dazzling,) with a good 360 degree beam. I find it difuses more light in the room with the lampshade detached. They are very bright on their highest setting with a light temp of about 4000k, so quite white.
Cons
The consumers' association has also stopped recommending cordless devices with integral batteries. Feels very cheaply made. Do not buy.
The base has to screw off/on to replace the batteries and the points that have to line up with the ends of the batteries have become loose and very fiddly. It's either poorly designed or poorly realised, or both. Arrived broken 1 day before being need... Read More
Light flashes on momentarily as the lid is pressed on. This lamp seems great, and i really like its features, but we have barely used ours and it no longer works.
Worked for 10 mins. Won’t recharge. Packed away after for the year and not working at all this year. Sent back and got refunded.

( i use a solar panel attached to power banks, then use the stored energy in the power banks to recharge the rechargable lantern versions.

Typically we will get powercuts 3gt4 times a year as a result of sse ovo failing to invest in more resilient electricity delivery whilst gouging higher and higher charges to line their pockets

It takes 3 d batteries which are not included easy to install just look at the pointed part line it up and twist the bottom to secure
