Pros & Cons
Pros
The smaller kettle works better for my needs and i'm less likely to have water left over.
Cons
It works okay on our induction cooktop, but takes forever for water to boil, unless i engage the power boost function of our cooktop. Replacement kettle has a defect in the bottom that has been poorly patched. Now that the 2nd one has rusted i will tr... Read More
When i put into dishwater the lid has parts that fill with soapy water. When you open the spout and pour the water out, the water shoots out about 1 foot outward like a geyser. When pouring the water, it often spits everywhere.
Don't buy it. Quite deceptive, really. It is defective. Will return. Paying for brand only, not functionality.
Cute but impractical. We own other le creuset kitchen items and they look gorgeous, not this!
Highlights
Quality
Otherwise, so far so good and i’m happy with the purchase of my new favorite kettle.
Good quality & beautiful color - just as advertised.
Shipping
My son got it for me on my prime account for free shipping as a mother’s day gift.

I liked the little logo center stage on the kettle but was dismayed to see it burn and wither when the flame was too high

I will admit i have gotten some good laughs on the reviews from people stating the peel off label that is supposed to come off came off

It is less perfect for a larger household as it does not boil more than a quart at a time and if that is your situation you would need the larger sized le creuset tea kettle

My only other concern since i live where there is very hard water is to try and avoid the kettle ending up with hard water deposits lining the inside of the kettle or worse still letting the steam or water boil out of the spout or top and leaving the hard white residue all over the outside of the kettle

Knocked off a star because its heavy in weight and expensive

Steam does leak from the top but perhaps it’s engineered to do that to relieve pressure

The whistling isn’t that loud but loud enough i suppose
Posted by a reviewer on Amazon
If you wait a moment to pour after it whistles you will not experience any splattering or overflow of water
