Pros & Cons
Pros
La creuset cookware is fantastic it's easy to care for and fills all our needs for hosting thanksgiving or dinner for 2. It's not just a cooking companion; it's a statement piece that adds a touch of gourmet flair to my space.
It's easy to clean and durable, but it's only meant for simmering things in liquid. Don't overheat it either. The enamel cleans up nicely.
Cons
Cheap lid with a plastic knob. The heating is uneven (gas and electric stove), and the enamel finish is peeling. The enamel on the handle was badly chipped.
Le creuset warranty for carbon steel products specifies that damage caused by normal wear and tear as well as corrosion or damage. What a disappointment. Ok, my fault. But it's useless.
Highlights
Quality
I have made soups, stews, and chili in my pot and very happy with quality!
Great color; not too heavy; easy to clean
Mine was the one showing some of these are now made in thailand, not china.
I'm used to my stock just boiling out and evaporating away no matter how low i have the dial set to, but almost none of it did in this pot.
Packaging/appearance
Right out of the box it was beautiful, much sturdier and weightier than my old standard stock pot (rip).
I’m just upset the pot came damaged due to packaging and i didn’t catch it until they said return window was closed.
Packaging was very pro and pot came in great condition
Competitiveness
Le creuset is a consistently high quality brand, stock pot is no different!
