Cooking Surface Quality
Customers are highly satisfied with the cooking surface quality of the Le Creuset Enameled Cast-Iron Skillet. They appreciate that food doesn't stick to the pan and that it leaves lovely crispy bits for making flavorful sauces. Some customers have noted that using a thin coat of oil is essential, but cleaning up is easy and quick. The even cooking surface results in delicious meals. However, some customers mentioned that the skillet requires more oil than non-stick pans and that following instructions carefully is important to avoid sticking.
Highlights
Quality
Sturdy, well-made, durable and capable of cooking all types of foods.
This is light and has a very smooth, doesn't scratch frying surface.
After several months of this careful procedure the pan now outperforms even a brand new teflon pan or my excellent thermolon skillets.
Considering the pan has unsurpassed heat retention and that it provides superb even heating, i cannot recommend it more.
Price
At first i was slightly hesitant to spend $100 on a skillet, but i am very happy i purchased this!
Overall they are well worth the price.
Le creuset is top of the line, and expensive.
Shipping
Came on time, would use them again.
Packaging/appearance
I know i should have read the description better, but was in a rush for a christmas gift and did not realize that a cover was not included.
Interesting is that when the container box arrives, the top design shows a le creuset cover.
I only wish it had come with a matching or glass lid.
Competitiveness
Compare to teflon can feel heavy but it's manageable.
After more research, decided to go with the le creuset over the lodge mainly because of the warranty.
