Pros

The handle on the cover is easy to lift, which is important to me for my arthritic hands. We keep european butter out on the counter and this is the perfect dish for it.

Holds butter, especially the big chonks of kerry gold. Works well for butter that is fatter than a stick. Fits the kerrie gold larger (8 oz) sized butter with room to spare. Perfect for my kerrygold pure irish butter.

Cons

I have a salt crock in the same color and they are not the same glaze. Will let air in and accelerate spoilage, not to mention allow for pest entry. Will be returning.

Thankfully our kitchen isn’t color and pattern coordinated and i could wait for one to go on sale.

If you can justify the full price or at least a sale price this is a good looking and well made addition to the kitchen
