Pros

The lifetime warranty is worth it as well and that is why the price is a tad more. It exceeds expectation. It was a dazzling christmas gift for my mom.

Le creuset cookware is the finest cookware quality there is. While it isn't self cleaning, the enamel coating makes cleanup a breeze.

It goesoks great, heats evenly, is easy to clean and looks great on a shelf if you are intending to display it. Falling off the bone tender and juicy roast every time. Twice in oven, once on stovetop.

Update: 4 years later, still 5+ stars, still using it multiple times weekly, would still buy again at the ~$300 price point.

I had tried a similar item at about 1/3 the price, but was very disappointed with the way it cooked.

I looked at the 100 dollar models at a popular big box store and they were all chipped and the covers could have fit better.

I have been wanting a le creuset dutch oven forever and the fact that it's in my favorite color makes it even better.
