Pros

Low sides on the lower pan makes placement of the dough easier. I preheat everything to 500 degrees before i start baking. It uses the water in the dough to steam the bread as it is baking. Cooks evenly no raw center.
The bottom has two large easy to grab handles and the domed lid has a silver logoed handle. They have smooth, hard and shiny crusts and tasty, “open” crumb interiors.
The engraving of the bread with rhe name is pretty cool. The only negative - and it’s minor - is the rings and logo on the base. Although it isn't their newest color, my favorite is flame.
Le cruset crushes it every time. The oven cleans up quickly and easily. As with most le creuset the product is wonderful but heavy.

It’s well made and just heavy enough to be manageable.
The quality of this bread is amazing n it’s amazing how fast and easy this tool makes it happen.
The included instructions/recipe say to let your loaf proof right in the pan, covered.
The cooking oil in the pan smoked so much in the oven and ruined the flavor of the bread.
Price
Had to take a star off because the astronomical price.
Ultimately, i can honestly say that $300 is not excessive if you really enjoy your bread making.
This happened to be on sale from amazon, thank you as i wanted one for a very long time.

I thought i was ordering through amazon with free returns but sur la table requires return shipment to them and i had to pay $13 to return.
It was on time and packaged well.

The unit arrived… and it is distinctly gray.
I still rated it high because the pot was in good shape, but it was a mess if you judged the box and packing.
The amazon box was the outer box and it was not damaged.
Competitiveness
No other brand of cookware works so hard for you, then brings its pretty self to the table.
I paired this with italian deruta pottery bowls, antipasto bowls, etc.
I debated several times on buying this dutch oven over a less expensive brand.
Sure, but le creuset cast iron cookware is like comparing a average car with a luxury car.
