I have recently purchased several le creuset items, including triply stainless pots and am very happy with the brand.
There is such a major difference when you are cooking with quality materials, and le creuset is at the top of the quality chain.
You can not beat the quality and durability of le creuset.
Packaging/appearance
No apparent damage to the outside of the carton.
Competitiveness
It may be more costly than a cheapy from your box stores, but these are pieces that will last a lifetime.
I would recommend this product to the ardent chef.
