Pros & Cons
Pros
This is the only ceramic fp i could find that checked all the boxes, so it's worth the price. Meringue color is gorgeous and matches coffee color. I love that it is ceramic, is very sturdy and heavy-duty.
Cons
Le crueset french press has a poor fit to the carafe. There is no fill line, and because the innards are so poorly fit, when you go to operate the plunger coffee shoots out of the spout along with grounds and makes a huge mess. The nozzle begins quite... Read More
The only reason you should be buying this french press is if you or the person you’re buying it for loves the le creuset look. The insulated metal ones are much better than stoneware for heat retention.
Le creuset is expensive, pretty stoneware with all the quality you would expect from something made in china that would be given to a toddler. Made in china and performs no better than any other low cost product. Sourcing low quality product from chin... Read More
This is unusable. I am heartbroken and will not buy another.
Highlights
Quality
I love how sturdy this french press is.
The stoneware imparts no flavor and is extremely easy to clean, even if i am in a rush and leave grounds in it most of the day.
The steel shaft of the press goes through an opening in the stoneware lid.
The filter thing unscrews and comes apart easily for a deeper more thorough clean.

I know it’s a little pricy, but so worth it.

Shipping
The coffee press arrived on time and very well packaged.
Packaging/appearance
This one is so beautiful, and i love the way it looks displayed on my counter.
Really chic lovely cafetière looks great on the breakfast table.
Competitiveness
I bought and used several electric drip machines, a nespresso unit, and and two well-rated european models.
Just has to steep the coffee ground about 30 seconds longer as compared to non la cruset brands.
It can handle boiling water compared to other french presses that cannot.

If you were making a full carafe there’d probably be enough grounds in there that the plunger would make it
