Pros & Cons
Pros
This is the easiest, no-fuss corkscrew i've ever used. It's simple to operate and removes the cork just by turning the knob on top. I think it's better than a regular corksensor or fancy cork remover.
Cons
Le creuset is offering a $40 corkscrew that will fail in under 3 months. The screw is glued into the top crank and is easily dislodged. It requires considerable rest strength to remove the cork.
The new one has an inferior worm and the plastic parts are really cheap. While most of their reviews are spot on, this one is a puzzle to me.
Highlights
Quality
This is easy to use, pulls that cork out every time with easy, good quality
Super easy to use and never breaks the cork on removal.
Our last creuset corkscrew worked for more than 10 years before breaking.
It seems very flimsy, but it does what it supposed to and it is so much easier than the other types of openers.
Price
That was very disappointing considering the price.
A bit pricey, but lasts a long time.
Competitiveness
Over the years, i've tried a number of wine openers and this one is the best.
I've bought dozens of corkscrews from various famous brands, and this is undoubtedly the best.
Except you have to twist the cork screw alot compared to other wine openers.
