My niece loves it. She is 3 and in school she is tracing. This product gives her the opportunity to practice while the device pronouce the letter or words.

Even with the hurdles of when you first recieve this system it's worth it in the long run. It's not too big and bulky but also not too small. After the other one lasting 2 yrs, i have to say it's worth the additional $50 for the next couple of years.

The screen highlights sight words and animations them. It keeps them entertained for hours. The only thing i dont like is that it needs more storage space.

The leapstart that i got from target is defective and will not connect to my computer like the 3d did. The video still comes out for the areas of the books that have video but with no complementary sound, it's essentially useless.

Leapfrog's leapstart system stops connecting to the app. It is only compatible with mac os 10. The unit is defective and not replaceable.
