Pros

I love the detachable clip that comes with it. You can attach it to your belt either vertically or horizontally. Only gripe is that the handles always separate when clipped in pocket.

The whole deal comes in a nice tin with the tool. You get extra bits that are replaceable for special needs. The leather pouch is great for carrying extra bits.

The blade on the knife is great. The blades are ultra-sharp. Much better edge retention over 440 steel.

Cons

I'm reasonably sure they were remanufactured. The gut hook blade was considerably smaller than it was on the pliers i had sent in. It seems like a lesser quality leather,an from this company.

The main blade is very high quality.

This is by far the best leatherman that i have owned, i love the look and feel including the color, it is light weight and durable.

As an it guy i am constantly racking equipment opening pc and server cases, and breaking into bundles of cables.

Other barnded multitools broke or fell apart within weeks of use.

Price

Sidekick: best value of all of them.

Came very sharp -i can shave with this knife.

Durable and not packed with features that are not needed.

Competitiveness

Note the major (functional) difference between this tool and much more expensive charge tti.

I find all the tools useful with this model compared to other models where you need to open the tool to access blades.

Since then, i have really longed for some decent tools, the quality that they sell here is worse than you can imagine.

However, i liked it better than the al and i didn't want to spend the money on the charge xti.
