Pros & Cons
Pros
Nylon pouch is actually pretty nice! The nylon pouch has a spot for the bit extender on the right side. The included sheath has storage spots for both the bit kit and the bit driver extension, both of which i highly recommend.
Leatherman has impeccable quality and durability. The warranty is incredible.
It's not cheap but then again, it’s not cheaply made. Very impressed. Expensive, but worth every penny.
This multitool is perfection of craftsmanship and function. The charge really is smoother than other leatherman multitools. It's now my default multi-tool.
Cons
It is far less aggressive than victorinox's and i suspect much less durable too. It's sharp, however i looks like a kid ground the edge on it. The finish seems like they just gave up at the factory as it is rough in some places.
The lm pliers get jammed when closing. It's very annoying. If you tighten the torx screws to eliminate the rattle/play, it makes the serrated blade much harder to deploy - impossible using a thumb only.
Highlights
Quality
Very well built tool, the upgraded knife and serrated blade are a nice feature.
You can feel the quality, pleasure to use as with any fine tool.
Knife was not sharpened enough and the liner lock for the serrated knife stuck making closing that blade a 2 handed operation.
Every blade is razor sharp, even the wire cutters can cut a piece of thread.
Price
It's well worth the price - i wish you could "buy once, cry once" for everything you buy, but these days most things seem to be... Read More
If all that is worth $200, you decide, but the finish of the trim is not (even if the material suggests otherwise.
The sheath is actually the "medium size nylon sheath with pockets" that is sold separate for $15.
Can be a big savings on an expensive purchase.
Packaging/appearance
It comes packed with 19 tools at your disposable.
It’s shown in the pictures, but it came with regular pliers.
Competitiveness
Nearly perfect add a assisted opening knife blade add it would be perfect even at that it is better than other name brands that... Read More
The charge plus tti also has a s30v blade which is more premium than the 410 steel blades on the wave.
This tool is as good as wave +, but costs almost double.
However, i suspect my needs would have been met with a less expensive model.
