Pros & Cons
Pros
The surge is heavier than the wave in the hand. The only bad thing is that it comes with a lot of grease so you need to wash your hands after using it because they will get black and greasy.
Leatherman multitool has come in handy on several occasions. Can do everything from tightening screws to putting together a bookcase. I plan on using this thing to its fullest so it just gets more character. I wish both tools would have a small hammer... Read More
The 3 inch blade is a huge improvement over the 1. Inch blade. The replaceable wire cutters are appreciated. An excellent feature is the scissor being on the outside. You have every screwdriver bit you could ever want.
Black shows ware almost right away, and in the begining of using the black stuff gets on your hands. I think stainless finish is just as good, if not better, and a bit cheaper.
Cons
Just received my surge and apparently it's been used or refurbished. The only difference is mine came pretty scratched up and most of the black coating had faded from use. If this is refurbished, it wasn't given much love.

What i like least about it: extra bits should have come with the tool.

I've been a multitool user since they came on the scene and for the longest time used only gerber.
But these are not the pliers with replacable cutters.
