Highlights
Quality
All parts work and are in high quality function (remember, the sharps arrive sharp lol).
This multi-tool is so versatile and well-made that, on the weekends, he’s practically attached it to his belt permanently (literally).
I know the description indirectly implied it is made in the portland, oregon factory.
It has signs of wear and tear, rust and gunk in the spaces between the tools.
Price
I definitely recommend, especially if you get it on sale.
The leatherman wave+ is worth every penny.
Not what i expect from $100 tool brand new.
I’m glad i paid the extra bucks for a leatherman.
Shipping
So 5 stars:despite amazon arriving packages nowadays sometimes being dodgy, mine was fully legitimate.
Total turn-around was almost two weeks from authorization to voucher e-mail.
Unfortunately i sent this overseas, and trying to return it would be more expensive than buying a new one.
Once the agent got in touch wirh me, communication was fast, simple and effective.
Packaging/appearance
My husband has used it for everything from fixing the garden hose to opening stubborn packaging.
Not so good:there is no indication on the multitool or the packaging that indicates where the wave plus is made.
Mine came with so much dust on the tool itself and the box had something looking like rust stain.
Competitiveness
Along with the separate bit set and the extension rod i bought separately i have philips, flat, hex, square and torx bits everywhere i go.
I have looked at other leatherman models too and bought a few, but never like them as much as the wave.
Other brands tend to loosen or wear out so the hinges get loose and make it hard to use the pliers.
