Since it's 12v, it does get warmer than similar 24v supplies, but the project on which i used it didn't have a very big current draw.

The combined load is a lot less than what this driver is capable of supplying but it is a good test for voltage regulation heat and noise

I left the setup running overnight and checked the temperature of the driver the next day

It was barely warm to the touch indicating good efficiency and the ability to drive a much higher load

The driver is totally quiet and free from buzzing or humming like some power supplies emit

One complaint is the screw terminals are very small and this severely limits the awg cable that can be connected

For a 16a unit you would want to use 1412awg cable which will not work on the output screw terminals

They are however doubled up so you could probably connect 2 sets of 1816awg cable
