Update i appreciate the store reaching out to me to replace the remote and why i added an additional starwhat i did not know is or i am learning is that using a smart appliance requires its own app unless it can connect directly with alexa and that makes it a pain

So until or unless there is a universal smart app that connects most of the smart devices i will stick with smart plugs and stay away from smart devices

I have’t tried the desk configuration but the floor lamp is rather frail and flimsy
