Keep in mind the lightlamp shade you have on too as the if the sensor is blocked somewhat by the lightshade the sensor might not be able to detect movement as quick as you want

Especially thinking about coming down stairs for this as you could be almost be half way down the stairs at the level of the light before the sensor will kick in

You don’t need to touch the light switch you just open the cupboard door and the light goes on and when you’ve finished the light automatically turns itself off

It does light up during the day unlike some other sensor lights but this is said in the description

This has no light sensor so it will come on with movement during the day
