The lock is weak and i find it is fairly easy to push the zoom in even with the lock on. For the first 30 mins, the battery gets so hot that you can feel the heat on your hand.

I have many different ledlenser torches both head and handheld ones over the years with no disappointments.

The beam can be focused by moving the lens back and forth this can be locked in your favourite position by twisting the lens

A flat spot would be useful on the barrel or cap to stop it rolling away and a knurled barrel would make it less slippery in a dry hand

The description of the torch capabilities is a bit misleading as it does imply the torch will run at 1000 lumens for 9 hours
