Sometimes i go a little more just so i can be a little thorough with the cleaning.
Takes a bit of getting used to with the swishing it around to get it started but does the trick.
I never have much luck with the pump to start though.
However, i think lee's has changed their material of this product.
Price
This works well and is half the price of the pet store.
This works great to clean the bottom of my tank, good price too.

Once this little siphon got going, it was fast!
If you want something fast or large, don't get it.
Packaging/appearance
This fits even in our 3 gallon and is slow enough you can properly get out all the gunk.
The suction isn't so strong that it disturbs the whole tank (i have live plants), but it is strong enough to remove all of the gunk.
But he just went for a wild ride and survived through the tube into the bucket.
Competitiveness
It is as easy to start as any other gravel vacume.
Once it makes it past the high point in the bend, it’ll flow by itself.

I dont use the pump start disturbs the tank too much just suck on the end to get it started

To get it started you have to shake it a couple times and it starts the siphon

This main tube arrived smashed

At times its a but iffy to start but most of the time it starts right away after moving it vigorously

You hold the hard hose piece submerged under the water and kind “jerk it” back and forth lengthwise for a lack of better description and it starts siphoning up the tygon hose on line
