The mafia trope is cliched and, again, completely unconvincing. Then it turns into an lbgt romance.
It's like the author connected the dots, as required, but the depth and purpose are missing. The plot is extremely poorly constructed. Either there are a lot of vapid people out there who need very little to entertain/stimulate them.

Theres a secondary plot that features a romance between viv and one of the other characters but its not as central as the communitybuilding plot of the book

I had hoped that there would be more romance to this book because i really enjoyed it but i cant penalize the book for not having as much of as id have preferred especially because it was so tastefully written and the rest of the plot was so interesting otherwise
