Pros & Cons
Pros
It's very fun to build and very cleverly designed. It meets my expectations.
This is for my grandson. Bought this for a gift for my son for x-mas. My 9 year old buddy has the queen anne's revenge and black pearl on his santa's list.
Highlights
Quality
Overall a quality set, totally worth the money.
Hours&hours of creative fun to build & play with!
We built it together and i was overwhelmed with the intricacies of this item.
The pieces are all packaged in clear plastic bags, which are then thrown haphazardly into the larger box along with the instructions.
Price
The price is high for this set now, but it is worth picking up if you're a fan of lego pirate sets or old and/ or new.
I really don't know how else they could improve this, except cut the price.
Shipping
The shipping box was no secured with packing material, and the box was crushed and punctured.
Overall the detail on the ship was impressive, lego from when i was a kid can't touch this.
It took me about 4 nights to complete the ship.
Packaging/appearance
Packaging: packaging is what you'd expect, though i was a bit surprised.
Competitiveness
If you like legos and you like ships, this is a no-brainer.
Yes, it comes with a captain's daughter).
