I got this set for christmas and i must admit i was rather impressed with the detail built into such a small set.
Use with the ghost, it enhances the experience.

These sets are really very detailed and very closely resemble the ships in the series.
One of our most favorite star wars lego ships.
We also have the ghost (which is the ship that this docks onto).
Packaging/appearance
You cannot really appreciate this piece without the the ghost (75053).
Competitiveness
My 8 year old got both for his bday and loved it!
It looks a bit hokey, but to a 5yr old, it's the whole world!

The kids have trouble playing with the ghost because some of the angles on it make it so that pieces are constantly falling off
