The build quality, compared to the new sets, is also fairly poor.
All in all it's a really great set, just make sure you go into it with the right expectations.
Over all size, this model is huge at 26 from gun pod to cockpit and 15 wide with the s-foils deployed.
Shipping
Some of the ships are so expensive and i think you get so much value for this one.
Overall, it's fun to build, and one awesome looking ship.
The set is highly detailed and very true to the design of the ship, down to the independently rotating cockpit module.
Packaging/appearance
Also lego could have covered the bottom of the s-foils with smooth plates like they covered the top of the s-foils.
Competitiveness
Good looking, better than the comparable x wing lego model, which i also have.
The other models just don't have the detail that i want.

The special rubber hose that you are suppose to bend on to itself snapped and lego still has not sent me a replacement

You are paying around 14 cents a lego

Poor design of the cockpit canopy it is only held in place by a supporting ring and is not snapped into anything so it rattles a little bit when you pick the model up and move it around
