Finish looks like cheap fake laminate, not rosewood. Shiny brass handles on side are chintzy. This is not sturdy, the craftsmanship is very poor.

Well made - fits our 32 place settings of silver with no problem.
Holds all my 65pc gold plated silverware .
Was just glued and the weight of the knives must have been to heavy.
This is a heavy chest that is going to last a long time!
Packaging/appearance
I like that i can store my good flatware in a nice protective box to keep it in good condition.
I was definitely not disappointed when i opened this box.
I opened the lid and the section holding the knives fell into the box.

Rcvd as a gift and when i put my knives up top in the slots and closed the lid i heard a crashing sound
