Pros & Cons
Pros
This is a quality plug, but it's a little pricey. It is of good quality and if i got one for a present i would be grateful. Good quality, easy to assemble.
Green light indicates power when plugged in, which is nice. If i have different tools plugged in now all i have to do is look at the outlets and look for the green light and know that my miter saw is plugged in. It works and having a lighted cord is h... Read More
Will work fine on 14 gauge. Had to fix a 100' extension cord with a broken ground pin. I have this on my diesel truck engine heater so that i can see at a glance that the truck heater is getting power.
All you need is your cut wires and a screwdriver or drill. Just strip back the wire insulation to expose the copper insert into the proper lug and tighten.
Cons
Access to the screw head with a screwdriver is impeded by the yellow plastic body. One wire inserte so when screw is tightened, it is on the wrong side and loosens vs tightening.
Highlights
Quality
Easy to install and heavy duty construction.
Very good product, easy to use and the light works good.
Feels cheap, does not slide together even and has no type of seal where the cord enters the replacement end.
Put the bare wire in, tighten the screw heads, line the body up, screw together and tighten the cord crimp then back to work!
Price
This is a quality plug, but it's a little pricey.
