Pros
Perfect for converting fluorescent recessed lights to this a19 base for use with retro fit led recessed trims. Rubber boot around the base provides a nice seal to the bulb.
Cons
Not very waterproof, the wires are not sealed. This allows water to seep down the wires into the socket.

First i strip the remaining wires on the string than shorten the wires on the leviton lampholder

Never tested this outside mainly use as temporary light in locations where chandelier or permanent light fixtures had to be removed
