One feature we really like though we have no way of testing it is that the reset cannot be actuated if the receptacle is damaged and cannot respond to an arc or ground fault

Note that it is sent in the tripped mode so one must reset it after installation and turning the power on

Was able to place after the refrigerator on the circuit and remove the afcigfci breaker that was roo sensitive for the refrigerator motor

By the way make sure you turn off your house circuit breaker to that outlet box before you attempt any electrical modification

I take the added precautions of wearing rubber gloves using tools with a nonconductive handle and only working on one side of the circuit at a time

I like the feature that the smartlock does an internal check from time to time and will not reset if theres an internal problem
