Pros

Switch/outlet is easy to install, nice and sturdy. The switch works as designed, the wiring diagram that comes with current model is correct. It's no harder to plug things in and out than an ordinary outlet.

Cons

All-in-one breaker tripped after 4 years. Leviton wants me to send the unit back for testing. Now ridiculously priced. Frustrating to have a faulty product right at the start.

Out of 5 leviton gfci's, four were verified defective. Earle believes that people don't return one outlet for instance, so a good portion of defective products ends up online and in the hands of the consumer.

Very easy to install and of clearly very high quality.

The "smart" features detected a potentially life-threatening problem in how the builder had installed the original gfi outlet.

We had some permitted electrical panel work done and it failed electrical inspection twice on the same circuit.

Great value for the price and i have my full trust in the product.

Order this one on amazon, and within a few days, i had it installed.

As of 3/20/2024, the unit i received still had the incorrect instructions.

Packaging/appearance

Placed this one inside a water proof box.

I had so much extra ground wire in the receptacle box that it touched the receptacle line and tripped the gfci.

Lol, and there it was like magical fairy dust, it just appeared.

Competitiveness

This devices has improved safety and functionality compared to similar devices 20 years ago.

I chose 15a instead of 20a (both code legal) due to size.

I had to buy a different brand where the plastic tabs don’t protrude up so high.

We have some other gfci in the house which i'll replace with levitons soon.
