As it turns out thats because the control circuit does not work if you dont have a ground wire connected

So not this products fault but im disappointed that i cant have a motion switch without rewiring the entire wire run for this switch

Installation is not very simple but not complex at all if you understand some basics of electricity

There is a learning curve for the device when you operate it for the first time right after installation but give it an hour or two and it should work fine

When i noticed the light turn on initially i thought the washer which was on during the instance had triggered it
