To increase fan speed, increase the capacitors (capacitance is somewhat like an inverse resistance) if you want to keep the speed at lo but increase that at hi, an alternative is to leave out the second 5 uf capacitor. I have a hunter ceiling fan mode... Read More

Operationally, the switch rotates smoothly. If fingers are wet it is a little harder to turn knob because its smooth.

Easy to install and looks/works great. Blends in nicely with other devices. If you don't understand power and water, get an electrician to do the work.

Cons

The speeds are preset, but the dial didn't match what it was causing my fan to do. Also, the knob is too small and sort of hard to adjust. You have to rotate it just so and work it back and forth at each detente setting.

Causes a flickering to my dimmer. Also causes the led lights in the same room to briefly spike in brightness when changing speeds.
