Pros

This plug is labeled as tamper resistant, so are all the outlets in our house. The line and neutral terminals are both on the same side of the receptacle. Installing was a little tight - this thing is large.

Cons

The design requires the use of five (5) wire nuts as the device does not have screw terminals (provides five 12 awg stranded conductors). With nothing in the 2nd usb-c port. The box only says pd and does not specify the version of pd such as 1.

While i acknowledge that these were disclosed as being bulky, they're ridiculous. The biggest disappointment is how ridiculously slow these charge. If i'm paying $40 for a outlet i atleast expect it to be fast charger.

One of the cables negotiates 20v, then settles on 5v, which won't work for my application. Gfci has no function, and the remaining receptacle on the circuit is thus dead as well.

Out of 5 leviton gfci's, four were verified defective! Refused to refund. Earle believes that people don't return one outlet for instance, so a good portion of defective products ends up online.

Installing was a little tight - this thing is large - thankfully the box i was installing it into was a pretty decent size.

If you need to push 4 wire nuts back into a box, hope your box is deep enough.

Competitiveness

This outlet is similar to a gfi outlet in size and shape (for what goes inside the outlet box).

A little brand bias - all my receptacles and switches are leviton.

I saw other outlets that were much cheaper and learned that the price of this is more because it can allow for faster charging.

I decided to replace some off brand usb outlets as they were making a low db high pitch hum.
