Pros & Cons
Pros
Amp outlet from leviton is much larger than your typical outlet. The receptacle mounting holes have wider slots to allow for adjustment/alignment of the receptacles.
The contacts seem durable and firm. They look great with a stainless cover plate. Technique is everything. Other notes and recommendations. Poor reviews based on inexperience or lack of skill.
These are an easy upgrade to your house or apartment that can be safely done if you just take proper precautions. Finish tightening down the screws at that point and put a plate on it. Easy to swap out.
Cons
Amazon rma'd it but after replacing a perfectly good oulet with this new but box is damaged such-a-deal. Economic policy probably dictates that apparently new merchandise, cosmetically unblemished except for the box, is turned over to the warehouse an... Read More
This receptacle is too deep for any realistic receptacle box. The outlet sits almost 1/4 lower in the box than the adjacent outlet. Outlets downstream test fine, just the gfci has a bad ground plug.

Price
Absolutely worth the price and upgrade effort.
Note: i purchased this item on amazon for full price and have no affiliation to the seller.
It was cheaper to buy the expensive receptacle than to replace the 1 gang box with a 2 gang box.
Deeper than the stock one but worth the money

It does require a bigger box but since i was replacing a gfci outlet that wasn't an issue in this case.
Competitiveness
We are replacing our ‘regular’ outlets & these are great (& less expensive than the same item in ‘hardware’ chain stores.
All contact points are shielded, which is probably a lot safer than the alternative.
