Pros & Cons
Pros
Leviton dimmer works great on allen+roth mxl1088-led35k9027n. My halogens lights definitely need the dimmer do no big deal. Sliding the slider is instant.
If installed correctly this leviton works very well. Max led wattage is double what the other guys are rated at. Was easy to install.
Cons
Not smooth, no ramping. Media could not be loaded. Pretty much worthless. It is not. Junk in my opinion. Should not have to hassle with it.
Dimmer slider does nothing. Doesn't work with any type of (dimmable) light bulb. Light flicker when trying to dim but doesn't dim at all.
Lights flickered and frequently had a strobe effect. Also, the led bulbs now light slowly instead of lighting instantly as expected. It's just that the bulbs were too bright.
The dimmer lever is the size of a toothpick. But grounding the switch did not help.
Every time the on-off switch is cycled, the dimmer switch moves, either too bright or too dim.
Highlights
Quality
I was impressed with the quality built into this dimmer switch.
Pros: leviton quality; programmable min/max brightness and glow in the dark features.
Flickers at low levels in 3-way application with fulight ep90-t8(dm)-4ft-18w-3000k in b mode.
Do not try to remove the ground screw it will strip and become usless.
Price
" well worth the cost to now have full control of our lighting.
The cheap price of the no name stuff wont be so sweet if it causes your house to burn down.
Works just like i expected but wish the price could be lower.
Packaging/appearance
It was a little larger than the original switch, but it was able to fit into the original switch box.
Competitiveness
I got the first one because it was not as wide as other brands and there wasn’t a lot of room in the box - it fit perfectly.
I couldn't find a local store that sells dimmer switches for high wattage led bulbs.
I didn’t see this brand i’d used for years and i thought a switch with a similar brand name was the same (not so much).
Anyway, this dimmer is better than the lutron one because it is narrower for multi gang installations and has higher power ratings.
