Fill it set it and leave it alone for about 3 to 4 days on level 1 needs to be refill because whatever youve set the lowest humidity percent to 30 80 whenever that setting is reached the humidifier will automatically turn on and off after your room reaches your setting humidifier must be turned on

Instead of being built in its a dangly thing that comes off the device so depending on where its placed its usually not very accurate

I saw a few reviews complaining about this but again its about average and i suspect those people dont have a lot of experience with just how irritating these devices can be when poorly designed lol
