Im not sure what the measurements in the description are refering to but 4 x 9 is the base of the actual storage area

It is probably slightly smaller the a standard mens bag and is significantly smaller than a womens

I honestly think i can get everything i need into this bag easily but may use some zipseal bags to keep meds dry and such as there are no waterproof compartments or lining

I have superlightweight packing cubes made of this same type of parachutelike material and while it feels fragile it is not

If something spills inside it is going to come out into your luggage and if you take this into the shower you are going to get the contents wet
