Pros
The piston key lock is convenient for threading zipper pulls, like on backpacks. While this won't stop a thief with a large cutter, it will keep most people out of your stuff.
This lock does comply with tsa requirements, so there is some assurance that your bag won't be busted while using this lock. It's tsa approved, although they asked me what it was lol.
It is wonderful to have such an easy to use lock that is both secure and dispenses with the need to remember combinations. Using a key is different and will take a little getting used to, but i don't mind it and it's certainly faster to unlock than sp... Read More
Cons
The key can be removed even if the cable is not latched. The feature is only really useful for locks that are permanently attached to the luggage. It's mostly ok for simple things like locking zippers on a backpack.

Quality
It is wonderful to have such an easy to use lock that is both secure and dispenses with the need to remember combinations.
With the lewis n clark, the keys match the lock color (see picture).
Put the key in, turn it, the stem with the ball on the end pops out.
Steel braided cable threads easily through the zippers and snaps into the lock which you can open with the key.
Price
The price is more than reasonable and i am going to invest in another one of these for our other bags.
Packaging/appearance
Note: the packaging is designed to shred as you open the lock, so don't buy it if you think there's a chance you might want to return it.
I also want to mention that the packaging has a prop 65 warning, in case that's important to anyone.

Of course its only meant to prevent very casaul thievery and add some privacy to a bag that is secured but out of your sight

It easily slips through the ends of zipper pulls to prevent the quick grab and go opportunity

Well you stick the key in the bottom turn pull the other end out and use it like you would any other luggage lock by threading it through the zipper loops

Once thats done you put it back into the main piece twist remove the key and its locked
