Pros
Rgb lighting allows for some customization. The heat spreaders also look nice with or without the lights on. The rgb looks fine on these.
Lexar cl18 is the fastest ram you can buy. It is fast enough for all but the highest end gaming rigs.

Cons
The timing isn't in the amazon description and isn't on the box. Turns out it was this ram that made my pc malfunction. It's obvious they're really focusing on selling these with the rgb description.

This is the first time that i've ever used any ram from lexar before, but i was really happy with this product.

Price
This is not the fastest ram you can buy, but the price is excellent, and the speed is fast enough for all but the highest end gaming rigs.
The price seems reasonable to me for the performance.
Competitiveness
Went well, for my wife's gaming rig.
Adds color and draws eye away from noctua cooler.
With xmp, the performance is easily tunable in xmp for a intel person, though it should work just as well with a modern ryzen system.
Thankfully, that trend continues with this ddr4 memory aimed at the gaming market.

I do not overclock memory beyond spec simply because i find the realworld benefits minimal and not worth the minor risk of shortened lifespan in computers i run a lot of data analysis on
